This was a real labour of love! We bought our house three years ago, and the garden had clearly been neglected for quite some time. It was full of overgrown areas, dead plants, patchy grass, a huge tree and shed blocking the sunlight, slippery decking, and crumbling walls.
Since then, my partner and I have completely transformed it—me taking the lead on the design, and him helping to bring it all to life. We’ve created a Mediterranean-style patio, perfect for entertaining, with a large table, pockets of beautiful planting, a wildflower and vegetable patch, and plenty of space for our young son and two cats to enjoy. It’s gone from forgotten to flourishing, and we couldn’t be happier with the result.
